Welcome to The Hare & Barrel Hotel. Our family owned hotel is situated in the centre of Wayland which is at the heart of the district in Norfolk known as Breckland. The town of Watton dates back to at least the time of the Domesday Book. However, whilst the area is steeped in history and just waiting for you to explore, we will provide you with ' Home from Home' 21st Century comforts.

  We would like to wish you a very pleasant stay in our Hotel where we try and create a traditional family atmosphere for both our daily customers and residents alike. Here at The Hare & Barrel we have 16 en-suite bedrooms 10 of which have been converted from the original coach house and stables. The oldest part of the hotel dates from 1806 when it was a manor house owning all the land down to the river. In the main body of the hotel you will find a comfortable lounge bar, restaurant, games room, conservatory and partially covered patio where on those rare balmy summer evenings it is a joy to sit under and just relax.
